Most software is built by people who have never stepped foot on a worksite. They build tools for office managers and big fleets. We didn't.
I built GRUNT because I watched my three brothers—all self-employed tradies—keep the country running while running themselves into the ground. I watched them finish ten-hour days on the tools just to start a "second shift" at the kitchen table.
I saw them losing their Saturdays to invoicing, their evenings to quoting, and their headspace to the "admin" they never signed up for. I wanted to solve their problems.
